GIZ INNOVATION HAND-BOOK

The German international development agency looked to drive innovation in their target communities. I led a three-person team creating a GIZ innovation handbook, with:

  • Manuals for each, scored them on complexity and listed required resources
  • Lay-out and packaging into an attractive and easy-to-use booklet

RESULT: GIZ circulated the piece throughout the organization and still uses it to plan workshops

2017

Created a New consumer product problem-solution fit for one of the world’s largest wall plaster manufacturers, by using Design Thinking to find new solutions to address the end consumer — something novel for a company used to only selling business-to-business.

Facilitated an OpenIDEO Design Thinking workshop during Open Source Circular Economy festival.

2015

Created Innovation ecosystems together with partner Cordaid, finding and supporting five teams to open Impact Hub social entrepreneurship spaces in Sub-Saharan Africa.

2014

Won global Nike Maxim award for innovative IT training processes, after designing their new global process and leading the innovation team to create a practice of a culture of innovative thinking and creation.

2021

ACT GROUP ONLINE STRATEGY COURSE

ACT group wanted to support their fifty associated social ventures, by giving them hands-on tools for strategy creation. I facilitated a course by:

  • Creating a six-week program, alternating between short-form interactive lessons and long-form workshops for organizations wanting to go in-depth
  • Using a mix of online tools to ensure delivery on a distance
  • Coaching a select group of motivated ventures one-on-one in their process of writing new strategic plans

RESULT: broader group taught the basics of strategy creation, smaller group adjusted and improved their strategic plans.

2017

Hosted two Patagonia brand events in Berlin, also helping to produce and host both full-capacity evenings.

Was the day host of the Western Balkans Impact day in Belgrade; panel host Belgrade Venture Forum.

Designed and facilitated a week-long strategy offsite for Impact Hub Global’s leadership and management team.

KNAUF NL FULL-SCALE ORGANIZATION TRANSITION

Knauf NL realized to enable innovation, they had to address structural elements across company pillars. I created, managed and delivered a year-long transition program by:

  • Facilitating a strategy reset with the management board, focusing management towards key future themes
  • Implementing an employee-run bottom-up culture and behavior change program, shifting towards a more open and collaborative work atmosphere
  • Establishing tool kit (OKR’s, Liberating Structures, user research) supporting the future vision, with instructions and training
  • Coaching an intrapreneurship team during their new product launch and subsequent first year of sales and operations
  • Coaching multiple managers in their quest how to manage their teams in a more self-steering and creativity-nurturing way
  • Helping HR set new hiring and assessment frameworks for future organization

RESULT: organization works in more cross-functional and self-steering ways, enabling easier innovation launches.

2017

AXA Prevention with Impact accelerator. Created this global accelerator program, finding mission-driven ventures from a to help the world’s largest insurer, AXA, support its strategic shift to being a lifelong partner for customers.

Supported designing Impact Hub Belgrade’s venture accelerator.

2016

Designed, implemented, and trained team members with a full project management process for Impact Hub Global, to aid its strategy delivery.

2014

Designed and implemented start-up support training for female entrepreneurs in Arusha, Tanzania.

2013

Managed the global merchandising system transition for Nike’s European branch, assisting 650 team members in Europe associated with merchandising and design.
