I HATE IDEAS, BUT I LOVE INNOVATION

Ideas are a dime a dozen; true innovation requires process and grit. Whether it’s implementing a global innovation process for Nike IT, using Design Thinking to access consumer markets for a wall plaster producer, or creating a multi-year approach to foster technological innovation in mining governance, I’ve worked on change from multiple angles, with various tools, and in numerous team settings.

FACILITATING AND HOSTING YOU IS MY PASSION

I’ve extensively worked with groups, from humble beginnings as a high school remedial teacher during university up to corporate facilitation. I’ve designed and led intimate, two-day strategy meetings, five-day conflict resolution retreats, team-building weekends for up to 200 people and much more. Oh, and I love hosting discussion panels, events, conferences, and weddings!

I GET IT DONE

The fundament of my career: delivering big chunks of work well. I’ve executed multi-million dollar global projects for Nike and more recently created two global accelerators for corporate clients with Impact Hub. I’m trained in process mapping and delivery techniques, I’m experienced in applying these in real life, and I know how to transfer these skills to others.

When working together, you’ll always get ‘me’. I’m not afraid to have personal quirks, which helps me create space for your group’s uniqueness to surface. I listen carefully, take myself as much out of the equation as possible, and allow your group’s intelligence to do the work; perhaps with a nudge here and there. I’m a highly sensitive person, I pick up on underlying group dynamics quickly, and I’m not afraid to address them respectfully.

It’s at crossroads where the synergies we need arise. I’ve constantly bridged various cultures in my private and professional life: between geographies, between personality types, between management styles, between profit and non-profit, and between artists and business people. I understand their differences and similarities, and how to get the best out of them. I can handle high levels of discomfort for long periods of time: I like the challenge. I’ll help elevate your team based on diversity and understanding. I’ll take you past irritation, to synergy, via understanding.

I easily alternate between big brush strokes and the nitty-gritty. Especially for the latter, I bring something extra: planning to make the output work. And that’s important as change comes to life at the intersection of human realities and good supporting processes. I help you navigate that post-workshop dip, creating implementation and learning plans together to ensure that what’s been designed also works in reality, gets utilized, and delivers value.
